Pregame Notes 06 April 2008

After losing two in a row to Tampa Bay, the Yankees could do with a win.

Chien Ming Wang takes the ball today for the Yanks while James Shields goes for the Rays. If last year holds, the Yankees will find a way to hit the heck out of Shields, as they hit good pitching very well...but not bad.

Melky Cabrera returns from his two game suspension; Shelley Duncan begins his and Giambi is out of the line up, giving Wilson Betemit the start. (Kat O'Brien with the line-up)

The Yankees have yet to score more than four runs in a game, and have horrible numbers with RISP.

However, if the standings on 6 April actually mattered, they'd play the playoffs before graduation.

There's cause for concern if the Yankees don't start hitting, but a long, long way to go before we are even close to resembling full panic mode.

As always, check back postgame for a recap.

  1. Hopefully your counter moves up a lot today. Shields has done very poorly against the Yankees especially at the Stadium. And with Wang pitching the Yanks should not only be in the game but be able to blow it wide open.
